The famous coastal town of Lloret de Mar is located along the beautiful coast of the Costa Brava, about 30 km south of Girona and 6 km from the authentic Spanish town of Tossa de Mar. Lloret de Mar is a popular and much-visited coastal town. It has much to offer for tourists for this reason. It has a palm-lined boulevard, a broad sandy beach where you can take part in all kinds of water sports, an old town centre with picturesque narrow alleys, where you can also find a large selection of shops and lovely restaurants. There are also various night clubs, tennis courts, a Dolphinarium, horse riding schools, mini golf, water parks, golf courts and cultural sightseeing opportunities. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre, then you don't have to go far, for there is a beautiful green hinterland, where many old crafts are still being plied, such as pottery and weaving.
